POST COLTS SYNDROME SETS IN AGAIN.
The rest of the sports world started Monday one day after the Indianapolis Colts pulled another boner at the RCA Dome in losing to the injury plaqued San Diego Chargers, 28-24 in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs.
From the opening snap of the season until the final victory kneel down by the opposing team’s quarterback, the only sport that really exists in my world is the NFL and the Indianapolis Colts.
After Billy Volek took the final kneel down ending the Colts reign as Super Bowl Champions, other sports started popping up once again in my mind.
Pro and college basketball are in the meat of their schedules, NASCAR is only one month away from the start of Speed Week, the PGA has just started up again, spring training is less than a month away, and the NHL is heading into its All-Star break next weekend.
Pro basketball is kinda on the back burner as my favorite team, the Philadelphia 76ers, are having another horrendous season. The flight of the Boston Celtics this season has been a refresher for the much stagnant and otherwise boring league known as the NBA.
College hoops is on the top of my list as the Memphis Tigers have a chance to become the first team since the 1976 Indiana Hoosiers to win a national championship without losing a single game the entire season. The Tigers have a legit shot to finish the season 40-0 and bring home a rare championship to the city of Memphis.
I dont know what to expect from my boy, Tony Stewart, this season as Joe Gibbs Racing switched from the dominating Chevy engine to the unreliable Toyota engine. I find it hard to believe that JCR and Stewart along with Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch would make such a switch if it wouldn’t give them an advantage over the rest of the field in NASCAR’s top circuit.
The Milwaukee Brewers look to extend their streak to 26 years without a post-season appearance as they will once again get off to a great start this spring, hold steady in summer, and then dump like normal in late August and September as they rip the hearts out of their loyal fans again. Ned Yost gets fired and the Brewers are one year late on getting the coach they should have had for the 2008 season, Joe Girardi.
The Philadelphia Flyers are have a solid year after posting their worst record in franchise history last season. The Flyers are currently in third place in the tough Atlantic Division and they sit comfortably in the top 5 in the Eastern Conference. The Broadway Street Bullies are back in Philadelphia and a run to the Stanley Cup Finals is not out of the question for the Flyers.
Hookscenter went 2-2 last week ATS in the Divisional Round and sits at 6-2 for the postseason. HC guarantees a sweep this weekend in the Conference Championship Games and an easy win in Super Bowl XLII in Phoenix in February.
Postseason profits from HC’s predictions in the playoffs should be 880 dollars after the Super Bowl for all bettors placing a C-Note on each game!!

Hey Hook, Third paragraph reads:
“After Philip Rivers took the final kneel down ending the Colts reign as Super Bowl Champions, other sports started popping up once again in my mind”
REALLY?? You that shook up about the Dolts losing that you didn’t even know who was QB’ing for the Bolts?
LMFAO, get off the sauce!

I guess I was still a little bit upset Monday about the debacle in the Dome Sunday afternoon.
