The Green Bay Packers lost for the first time last Sunday night to the Chicago Bears 27-20 leaving the National Football league with three undefeated teams headed into week 6.

Two of the remaining unbeaten teams square off Sunday at Texas Stadium as the Dallas Cowboys (5-0) entertain the New England Patriots (5-0). The winner of this much anticipated game will join Indianapolis (5-0) as the only undefeated teams headed into week 7. Indianapolis has a bye this weekend.

Although the Super Bowl doesn’t take place for another four months, a very rare matchup between 5-0 teams from opposite conferences has stirred talk of that game this week.

This is only the fifth time in league history that two undefeated teams with five or more wins will face each other. The 5-0 Patriots beat the 5-0 New York Jets 13-7 on Oct. 24, 2004 in the most recent matchup.

The New England Patriots look to tie a franchise record with their sixth straight win to open a season. The last time the Patriots opened a season was 2004 and they went on to win the Super Bowl.

The Patriots might be the most overrated 5-0 team in league history. Everybody is making a big point that they have won their first five games by 17 points of more. Look at the competition they have played so far this year.

The Patriots have scored at least 34 points in each of their first five games but then again Pete Carroll’s USC teams from a couple of years ago could have put up 30 plus against the likes of the Jets, Chargers, Bills, Bengals and Browns.

The Patriots, who trailed only once this year to the Buffalo Bills, will finally meet their match Sunday in Dallas. The Cowboys almost got caught looking ahead to this game as they should’ve lost to the Bills Monday night, but I expect Wade Phillips to have the Boys focused and ready for the Patriots.

The Patriots, who’s five wins have come against teams with a combined 7-17 record, will follow in the same tracks as the last powerhouse from the AFC to come into Texas Stadium undefeated. The Cowboys defeated the Colts 21-14 last season after the Colts won their first nine games of the season.

Anyone that thinks Tom Brady is going to break Peyton Mannings single season touchdown record should go see a shrink. The Patriots are getting old and as the season drags on teams will start beating them up like ragdolls kinda like the way the Patriots disposed of their first five opponents.

Talk of an undefeated season in New England will come to a screeching halt this Sunday as the home dog Cowboys will beat the Patriots straight up and send Hoody back to Boston scratching his head trying to figure out how not to get caught cheating by the NFL again.
