It’s like a broken record….It keeps repeating, over and over again….Just like last fall when Hookscenter (HC) made a lot of people free money on his NFL predictions, this spring is the same old song and dance as HC’s NCAA Bracket is bringing home the bacon.

Hookscenter’s first half of his Elite Eight bracket is perfect as Louisville, Xavier, North Carolina, and UCLA all made it to the regional finals.

It’s time to stop listening to all these supposedly experts that don’t know “Diddle Poo” about college basketball and ask the expert when it comes to March Madness.

Louisville was the easiet pick of the tournament that was lower than a #3 seed to advance to the Elite Eight. Louisville overcame some early injuries and finished the season playing as good of basketball as anyone in country (except for their hiccup in the Big East tourney). Tennessee was the most overrated team in the tournament. Anyone that had the Volunteers going past the Sweet 16 should never fill out a bracket again (Tennessee has never made it to the Elite Eight).

North Carolina and UCLA rolled on Thursday even though the Bruins blew a 21 point lead and let Western Kentucky get close in the final minutes before pulling away for the win.

Xavier is my feel good story of the tournament. The Musketeers play the same style of ball as the Wisconsin Badgers – Team Ball. The chemistry of Xavier is as good as anyone’s left in the tournament and even though a #3 seed cannot be Cinderella, right now the glass slipper is on the foot of the Musketeers. Xavier had plenty of times to crack against a solid West Virginia team but each time they fought back like a team on a mission.

Enjoy the games Friday night and check back Saturday as Hookscenter carries seven teams into the Elite Eight. The only team not left in my bracket will be Wisconsin. Like I said earlier, you normally go with your first instinct and mine was Kansas State beating Whisky in the second round.

The thing that hurts the most is I only live an hour from Madison. State Street will be rocking tonight as the Badgers are going to pound Davidson into the ground. If you up for a little excitement tonight, take a trip to Madtown.

Where else can you go and have your choice of BEADS or BREAST!!
