Hookscenter’s 2008 NFL Conference Title Picks – Against The Spread.
Once again Hookscenter is all over the spread like a hungary kid at Thanksgiving dinner.
This might have been one of the easiest picks in the history of NFC Championship play. The Cardinals have to much firepower to be stopped. Larry Fitzgerald has ascended to the top of the NFL as the premiere receiver in the game and Kurt Warner once again proved that age has not slowed him down.
Edgerrin James looked like the Hall of Famer he is again, and I am happy that the one-time Colts’ stud running back is finally going to get a taste of the Superbowl.
Hats off to Andy Reid’s squad for a superb effort today but it is the Cardinals moving onto SuperBowl XLIII in Tampa Bay.
The AFC Championship game had all the makings of a defensive battle. Two of the top defenses battled it out with a trip to Super Bowl XLIII on the line.
The wild card in this game was the starting quarterbacks.
As good as year as Joe Flacco had with the Ravens, Ben Roethlisberger has playoff experience under his belt to go along with a Super Bowl ring.
Look for the Steelers to throw the house at Flacco and pressure the rookie quarterback into making quick decisions with the ball.
The Steel Curtain is the difference as Pittsburgh will be headed to Tampa Bay to face the Cardinals for the World Championship.
5 Star Picks of the Week: Arizona (+3.5) vs Philadelphia and Pittsburgh (-6) vs Baltimore.
