The Brewers introduced Potawatomi Bingo Casino as the team’s presenting sponsor on Thursday, and billed it as the first such deal between a major sports franchise and a sponsor in Wisconsin’s history.

The partnership will be referred to as “Milwaukee Brewers Baseball presented by Potawatomi Bingo Casino,” and it entitles the casino to local advertising and marketing rights on radio and print material, in-stadium signage, sponsorship on regular-season game tickets and additional collateral materials.

“We are proud of the contributions this partnership will bring to help drive tourism and strengthen the state’s economy,” Potawatomi Bingo Casino general manager Mike Goodrich said in the Brewers’ statement announcing the agreement.

Potawatomi Bingo Casino will have exterior signage on the 117 Miller Park plaza light poles, and will be recognized on top of both dugouts at the Brewers’ eight-year-old home. Other signage opportunities inside the ballpark will include an outfield wall pad signage and representation on the rotational signs and LED boards.

Despite the worsening economy, the Brewers have lost only one major sponsor this offseason, when Mercedes Benz dropped its support for a party area in the right-field corner at Miller Park.
